Description
W. H. Richardson of Malta, Montana: Double Loop Side Holster and Unmarked Gun Belt. The rig has a border tooled hand-stamped double loop skirting leather holster for a 5½" Colt SAA .41 caliber pistol. The gun belt measures 36½" to the furthest original hole on the belt strap and adjusts down to 31¾" at the smallest. Two later holes were punched, a professional hole at 38" and a crude hole at 31". There are cartridge loops for forty individual .41 caliber rounds. The inside of the suspension loop is marked "W. H. Richardson / Maker / Malta, Mont." and the scratched initials "J. B.". The 2" unmarked belt has a nickel buckle. Both the holster and belt show moderate wear.Auction Info
