Description

Full Stock Percussion Rifle Signed "Lewis Eley" on the Top Flat of the Barrel, Circa 1850. Likely central to south central Pennsylvania. .36 caliber deeply rifled bore, 36¼" octagonal barrel, 15/16" across the flats. German silver blade front sight, V notch rear sight. Single screw percussion lock marked Baker, double set triggers. Mechanically perfect with fine bore. All brass furniture including elaborate trigger guard and 4½" toeplate. Maple stock displaying nice curl on the forend. There is an old sound repair to a clean break at the wrist that could readily be made imperceptible, otherwise the wood is fine. Nice little rifle worthy of proper restoration.
