Description

Double Loop Side Holster and Cartridge Belt, Circa 1890. The border tooled hand-stamped holster, with a closed toe, is for a 7½" Colt SAA "tight" pistol. The belt measures 35½" at the smallest and up to 40½" at the longest. There is a row of cartridge loops for thirty-five individual .44 caliber rounds. The holster has an undecipherable mark [M. Hanes ?] on the back and the number "23" on the top loop. The holster has a great patina and is fine. The 1½" belt shows wear with a few splits to the cartridge loops and minor stitching loss, thus, near fine.
