Leaf from Chinese Wood-Block Printed Book. Plate size 10.5 x 15 inches; 13 x 18.5 inches overall. Extracted from Comprehensive Mirror for Aid in Government, from the annals of Tang Dynasty Emperor Xuanzong (R. 712-756 AD). Presumed from late 19th Century. Beautiful printed paper book leaf mounted on silk. Fine condition with one smoothed binding fold through center. Perfect for framing and would make an elegant addition to the décor of any home, office, or school.
