Leaf from Chinese Wood-Block Printed Book. Plate size 10.5 x 15 inches; 13 x 18.5 inches overall. Extracted from Comprehensive Mirror for Aid in Government, from the annals of Tang Dynasty Emperor Xuanzong (R. 712-756 AD). Presumed from late 19th Century. Beautiful printed paper book leaf mounted on silk. Fine condition with one smoothed binding fold through center.
