Gus Grissom Filled Out by Hand and Twice-Signed 1959 Check
from the Gus Grissom Estate, Certified by CAG, with Signed
Letter of Authenticity from Mark Grissom. An 8.3725" x 3.375"
blank check form filled out by Grissom in blue ink script:
"National Bank of Fort Sam Houston/ San Antonio, Texas/
21 July, 1959". It is made out to by rubber stamp "Andrews
Air Force Base Exchange" for "$25.00/ Twenty-Five and
00/100". He has printed his name and information at lower left:
"Virgil I. Grissom/ Capt USAF/ NASA Space Task Group/ Langley
AFB VA". At lower right he has signed in script: "Virgil I.
Grissom". This date is just three months after his selection as
a Mercury Seven astronaut. Note that he lists his address as the
NASA Space Task Group. Very desirable. Mark Grissom LOA included.
Very fine. Sealed in a numbered archival sleeve, CAG #1000587-002.
