Mercury-Redstone 3 (Freedom 7): Ten Vintage Glossy Finish Photos of Flight Director Chris Kraft at Mercury Control Center Prior to Launch, from the Personal Archives of NASA Legend Bill Taub. Ten generally 8" x 10" B&W images of Kraft as NASA prepares to launch the first American into space. Kraft served as Flight Director for all six of the crewed Mercury missions. Interesting look at the NASA legend as he begins his long career of launching man into space. Generally excellent.NOTE: The photos from this archive were the inspiration for the recent book by J. L. Pickering and John Bisney, Photographing America's First Astronauts, Project Mercury Through the Lens of Bill Taub. A beautiful book from the Purdue University Press. Highly recommended.
