Project Mercury's Prime Astronauts: Five Vintage Glossy Proof Sheets of Alan Shepard, Gus Grissom, and John Glenn as They are Interviewed by Jules Bergman of ABC News, all from the Personal Archives of NASA Legend Bill Taub. Five 8" x 10" B&W contact sheets, each containing four 4" x 5" prints showing these three astronauts being suited up for their interviews with Bergman. One creased, the balance excellent.NOTE: The photos from this archive were the inspiration for the recent book by J. L. Pickering and John Bisney, Photographing America's First Astronauts, Project Mercury Through the Lens of Bill Taub. A beautiful book from the Purdue University Press. Highly recommended.
