Andrew Jackson Partly-Printed Document Signed, "Andrew Jackson", one page with docketing on vellum, 15.5" x 9.5", Washington, D.C., November 16, 1830. Here a certain Austin Prestwood of Green County obtains title to 73 acres of government land in Cahaba, Alabama. The nation's 7th President boldly signs the deed with a signature that is a whopping 6.5" long. Smoothed folds with small split along left margin, fine condition.During the Civil War Cahaba, Alabama would host a pestilent POW camp for captured Yankee soldiers. From the collection of Henry E.
