-Original folds, minor creases and wear, paper clip mark at top left, pencil annotation at right edge, else near fine.

In 1927 FDR incorporated the Georgia Warm Springs Foundation. This expense report is on the letterhead used by the Meriwether Reserve, Inc., which predates the Warm Springs organization. On the verso, FDR has written: "FDR/To Sept. 20th/ Paid."

A very rare financial document on The Meriwether Reserve, Inc. Warm Springs, Georgia, Egbert T. Curtis, Manager stationery, initialed and dated by FDR, being the expense report from May 3 through July 7, unknown year. Although in 1927 FDR incorporated the Georgia Warm Springs Foundation in 1927, and this rare letterhead is on the preceding letterhead, the Meriwether Reserve, Inc. Therefore, this expense report on very rare letterhead pre-dated 1927. On the verso of the expense report, FDR writes in his own hand: "FDR/ To Sept. 20th/ Paid." A wonderful and historic financial document pertaining to FDR's philanthropic activities in Warm Springs, Georgia, on original letterhead, relating to a centerpiece of his life at the time, both personally and financially, Warm Springs, Georgia.
