Description

Pair of 18th Century Cut Steel Shoe Buckles. Unmarked and possibly of American manufacture. 2 1/8" wide, with all tines intact and dark gray patina overall with absolutely no rust or pitting. It is possible the small discs on the four sides of each buckle originally mounted a stone or brass overlay for decoration, although those are now missing. Nice set and becoming quite scarce.
