Winchester Model 94 Texas Sesquicentennial Tribute Lever-Action Saddle Ring Carbine. Cal. .38-55 Winchester. Serial number TEX01619. 18½" round barrel. Receiver and barrel bands gold, barrel, feed tube, cocking lever, butt plate, trigger and hammer blued. Checkered walnut stock. Both the left and right sides of the receiver are engraved with vignettes of Texas icons including the Alamo, state capitol building, cowboys, oil wells, etc. The right side of the barrel is captioned "1836-Texas-1986" in gold-enhanced lettering. The tang is stamped "Model 1894 Winchester". A Texas Sesquicentennial medallion is inset into the right side of the butt. This tribute was manufactured by the U.S. Repeating Arms Co., Winchester TM's licenses from Olin Corporation. There is one small crack in the butt on the left side near the upper portion of the butt plate, otherwise it appears unfired.
