Description
L. C. Smith (Hunter Arms Company) Ideal Grade Double-Barrel Shotgun. 20 gauge. Serial number F.W. 36860. Features 27½" London Steel blued barrels with slightly tapered concave matte rib and front and mid ivory beads. The gun's weight is about six pounds overall with an overall length of 44"; a LOP to the factory buttplate of 14"; a DAC of 1¾"; and a DAH of 2¾". Double triggers. The case-colored action is engraved with floral patterns and zig-zag borders and with a blued trigger guard. The walnut pistol-grip stock and matching fore end are finely checkered and the fore end has an ebony inlay at the tip. This is a handsome shotgun, retaining most of the case-coloring on the action and 95% blue on the barrels. The bores are bright and the shotgun is in excellent condition.Careful examination of the gun leads us to believe the stock has been carefully and artfully refinished, but for all intents and purposes it is virtually undetectable.Auction Info
