Description
Group of Four Civil War Artillery Projectiles. The group includes: (1) CS/US 3.58 inch 6 pounder spherical shot. Nice smooth surface, no rust or pitting with old coat of varnish; (2) US 3.58 inch 6 pounder Bormann fused case shot shell. Nice unpunched Bormann fuse with several numbers and raised lines visible. Nice smooth surface with just some minor pitting. Cleaned and varnished. Recovered at Turner's Gap, MD. in August 1977; (3) CS/US 3.58 inch 6 pounder spherical shot. Nice smooth surface, no rust or pitting. Dark olive patina; (4) US/CS 4.52 inch 12 pounder spherical shot. Nice smooth surface, no rust or pitting. Very fine condition group.Auction Info
