Description

English F/L Pocket Pistol C. 1815. 7½" overall with 3½" .50 caliber smoothbore barrel. Barrel with a narrow rounded channel on the top which actually serves as a sight groove. Exquisite lock with roller frizzen, signed "McDormot" in script. Hammer delicately scroll engraved. Iron trigger guard and ramrod pipe, silver buttcap and wrist escutcheon. All metal generally smooth and gray, just some small scattered patches of salt and peppering and a few tiny dents on the top of the barrel, minor. Mechanically fine. Grip with cross hatch and star incised decoration. Stock overall fine showing some minor honest use and just one tiny hairline behind the ramrod pipe,not affecting soundness. Nice gun exhibiting excellent quality.
