Description
Apollo Command Module Environmental Control System Hardware: Suit Supply Inlet Temperature Transducer, AiResearch Part 836950 (Contract NAS-9-150). A round-shaped component, 2" x 3.5" x 1.875", with a multi-pin electrical connector and a metal ID plate with the following information: "Sensor - Temp", Part number "836950-1-1" and serial number "86-R1". Included are several pages copied from a 1973 abstract prepared by AiResearch for the NASA MSC titled "Environmental Control System Transducer Development Study". It describes its purpose, in part: "...sense the oxygen temperature at the suit inlet and in conjunction with the associated in-flight signal amplifier they provide signals proportional to the sensed temperature."
