Gemini Goodwill Tour: Scrapbook from Uruguay Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, Certified by Collectibles Authentication Guaranty with a Photo Certificate. A cowhide scrapbook, 13.5" x 9", of twenty-one photographs and newspaper clippings of Neil Armstrong and Dick Gordon's trip to Uruguay. The album is entitled, "Visit of Astronauts Armstrong and Gordon and Officials of NASA", Montevideo, Uruguay' October 23-24, 1966. Armstrong and Gordon's tour across South America made headlines, and they were met by large crowds wherever they went. This wonderful album highlights the parades, press conferences, and other events the men attended during their travels. Some small areas of material loss on the front and back cover. Newspaper clippings are toned, and some photographs have light toning and imperfections, else very good. This lot will include an encapsulated CAG Photo Certificate with a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.Learn more about Collectibles Authentication Guaranty (CAG).
