Schuyler, Hartley & Graham Non-Regulation Staff Officers' Sword Retrieved from the Battlefield at Franklin, Tennessee. A non-regulation staff officers' sword with steel hilt and pierced metal guard featuring a spread-wing eagle over "U.S.". The 32¾" long etched, Solingen-made blade is marked with "Shuyler, Hartley & Graham" on the right side of the ricasso. The blade is smooth and dark with some dark rust extending approximately 6" to the tip of the blade. The grip is missing a small section of the wire wrap and rayskin covering. The sword is complete with the original scabbard which is worn, slightly dented and with one small rust hole in keeping with its battlefield pickup status. Verbal provenance indicates that this desirable sword was picked up after the battle at Franklin, Tennes
