Description

Model 1816 U.S. Flintlock Pistol .54 Caliber Smoothbore S. North Metal is generally gray and smooth with the exception of a number of small dents on the barrel at the band. Lock marked "S.North US MIDLn Con" surrounding eagle, tight strong action. Barrel and stock exhibit deep inspector stamps. Stock is in excellent condition save for a tight crack from the side plate 1 1/4" forward to the edge and a small chip forward the frizzen, replaced ramrod. Appears to be in its original flint configuration. A very nice honest example of this important military firearm.
