Description
Apollo 8 Flown Heat Shield Fragment on Photo Presentation Certificate. A 0.375" x 0.3125" x 0.125" piece (overall) of the heat shield from this landmark mission mounted to a 10" x 8" Apollo 8 color silk finish photo of the earth seen rising above the horizon of the lunar surface. Included is Certificate of Authenticity #40, signed by Florian Noller of Spaceflori.com and stating: "Herewith I certify that the honeycomb heatshield fragment attached to the photo presentation is an authentic flown piece of the Apollo 8 Command Module's outer hull and has been removed as part of a heatshield plug for further investigation..."
