Description

GEMINI

Ed White II Signed and Uninscribed Silver Spacesuit Color Photo. An 8" x 10" NASA litho print of White posed with a Gemini-Titan model in front of the American flag, signed in black felt tip: "Ed White". White is best known as the first American to walk in space during the Gemini 4 mission on June 3, 1965. He was slated to be command module pilot on the first manned Apollo mission but was tragically killed, along with crewmates Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee, in a training exercise fire on January 27, 1967. An extremely rare and desirable photo, especially in uninscribed form. The first of these in color that Heritage has offered. Excellent.
