Edward Borein (American, 1872-1945): Three Etchings Depicting Cowboys on the Ranch. As follows.Roped Steer No. 2: Etching and drypoint, 7" x 5" (image), stamped with artist signature lower right, bears inscription in pencil lower left.
Sitting Pretty No. 1: Etching and drypoint, 5" x 6.75" (sight), bears signature lower right.
Race to the Wagon No. 2: Etching, 6.75" x 4.75" (sight), signed in pencil lower left.
Literature: J. Galvin, The Etchings of Edward Borein, San Francisco, California, 1971, No. 134, 65, and 43.
Condition Report*:
Sitting Pretty is framed under glass to 13.5 x 11.25 inches and there appears to be moderate overall paper discoloration and toning along the edges of the mat. Not examined out of frame.
Incoming Cowboys is framed under glass to 11.25 x 13.25 inches and there appears to be moderate to heavy overall paper discoloration. Not examined out of frame.
One More is framed under glass to 16.5 x 17 inches and there appears to be toning along edges of mat. Not examined out of frame.
