Description
French Chassepot Model 1866 Bolt Action Military Rifle. Serial No. P78074, 11mm caliber, 32½-inch barrel with fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight. All visible numbers matching. Manufactured in 1873 by St. Etienne arsenal. All metal parts in the white. Two barrel bands, two sling swivels and ramrod. Stock with military cartouche and inspector's proofs.Condition: Excellent. A prime example with only scattered light spotting to metal. Stock with only minor bruising. Bright bore.
