Rare Etched Panel 1878 Colt Frontier Six-Shooter Double Action Revolver together with Colt Factory Letter. Serial no. 19517, .44-40 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with single-line Hartford address and etched panel. Nickel-plated finish. Blued screws and trigger. Ivory bird's head grips. Lanyard ring. Sold together with Colt factory letter confirming configuration and a ship date of April 19, 1887. Condition: Excellent. Retaining approximately 95-97% finish, now dulling in some areas and scattered light wear overall. Etched panel faded but visible. Grips fine with light wear and patina. Action crisp.Auction Info
