Space Shuttle Discovery (STS-31) Flown American Flag on Presentation Certificate to Mission Specialist Bruce McCandless II and Directly from His Personal Collection. A 5.5" x 4" cloth U.S. flag on an 11" x 14" NASA certificate to Bruce McCandless "In recognition of contributions made to the Hubble Space Telescope Program". Signed in facsimile by Richard Truly and Leonard Fisk. STS-31 was the mission that launched the Hubble Space Telescope into earth orbit in 1990. An historic and significant mission.
