Description

Apollo 14 Flown Kapton Foil Segment on Presentation Card, with Spaceflori Authentication. A 5.25" x 3.25" photocopy bearing a 0.25" x 0.125" piece of gold foil. Text reads: "Skin from Apollo 14 Spacecraft 'Kitty Hawk'. This is to certify the attached material was part of the outer skin of the Apollo 12 Spacecraft that carried astronauts Shepard, Mitchell, and Roosa on their historic flight to the moon 31 January - 9 February 1971." The original was signed "Terry N. Slezak" at close, a member of the MSC Lunar Receiving Lab Decontamination Team. This copy is hand-authenticated on the verso: "I certify that the attached piece of/ gold foil is taken from the original/ COA by Terry Slezak--/ Florian Noller/ 'Spaceflori'". Very fine.
