Description
Charlie Duke Signed Apollo 11 Landing Site Ranger VIII Lunar Chart, with Zarelli LOA. A 28.75" x 22" Mercator projection lunar that was compiled using data from six Ranger VIII cameras. Prepared by the Air Force Aeronautical Chart and Information Center for NASA; first edition (March, 1966). Signed in the Mare Tranquillitatis region in blue felt tip: "'Roger Tranquility, we/ copy you on the ground'/ July 20, 1969/ Charlie Duke/ Apollo 11, CAPCOM". Very interesting and rarely offered item. Included with this lot is a full LOA from Steve Zarelli. Very fine.Auction Info
