Pair of British Single-Shot Traveling Percussion Pistols by Wilson. .50 caliber, 7 ¾-inch unmarked octagonal barrels. Engraved upper tangs, hammers and lock mechanisms. Locks marked: Wilson. Engraved steel furniture. Vacant German silver oval wrist escutcheons. Swivel ramrods. Varnished walnut stocks. Both contained in associated English style partitioned mahogany case with burgundy felt lining. Lid with circular escutcheon with rayed sun family crest and flush mounted circular brass handle. Lid with re-enforcement brass corners. Accoutrements include small brass powder flask with spring-loaded charger, single-cavity bullet mold, Hicks brass cap tin, cleaning rod and ball supply. Condition: Guns: Good. Barrels have been polished to bright metal, remaining areas showing grey patina. Wood with minor wear and blemishes. Action good. Associated case relined and showing wear, minor cracks and chips to veneer.
