English Brass-Barreled Flintlock Traveling Pistol by Bass. .56 caliber, 6 1/8-inch octagonal brass barrel, the top flat marked: London. Blued lock mechanism with roller frizzen and marked: Bass. Vacant silver oval wrist escutcheon. Varnished figured walnut stock with engraved brass furniture. Varnished hardwood ramrod with horn tip. Condition: Good to very good. Barrel and furniture with light age patina. Furniture with traces of silver finish remaining. Steel lock with light patina and pitting. Wood very good with minor professional repair at tip of fore-end. Action excellent.Auction Info
