Flown on the first crewed test flight of the lunar module

Apollo 9 Flown "Systems Data" Book Originally from the Personal Collection of Mission Commander Jim McDivitt, Signed and Certified, with His Signed Letter of Authenticity. A treasure trove of technical schematics and diagrams in a three-hole punched 8" x 10.5" book held together with three binder rings. The following printed information is found on the cardstock front cover: "APOLLO 9 SYSTEMS DATA/ Part No SKB 32100036- 201/ S/N 1005". It is initialed "J A M" and signed "Flown aboard Apollo 9/ Jim McDivitt CDR". A very important and interesting flown book. Heritage sold three other Apollo mission-flown books of this type between 2009-2013 at prices from $19000-25000. In 2022, we sold another flown book from this mission for $27500. We expect strong competition among collectors to own this piece. Very fine with only light wear from use.

Included with this lot is an illustrated personal LOA signed by McDivitt. It reads, in full: "This Apollo 9 Systems Data, Part Number SKB 32100036-201, Serial Number 1005, with twelve fold-out diagram and schematic pages (11.1, 11.1A, 2.1 with "SEQ" tab, 2.2, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 2.8, 3.1 with 4FPS " tab, 3.2, RHEB-229 Power Distribution, and 3.3), plus 8"x10.5" front cover, was flown in Earth orbit aboard Apollo 9, March 3-13, 1969, and is from my personal collection. I have signed and endorsed the front cover with "Flown Aboard Apollo 9" and "CDR" in green."
