Ex. Alan Bean
Alan Bean's Flown ACR Flashlight Batteries (Four), Two from
Apollo 12, Two from Skylab II (SL-3), Directly from His Family
Collection, with Certificate of Authenticity. In other lots, we
are offering Alan Bean's two flown flashlights, Apollo 12 LM and
Skylab II (SL-3). At some point after the missions, he removed the
two batteries from each flashlight in order to prevent them from
leaking. He then saved the batteries together with no indication of
which flew where. Offered here are those four AA size batteries in
much better condition than usually found. Fine.Included with this lot is a COA on Alan Bean's letterhead signed by daughter and Estate Executor Amy Sue Bean stating that these batteries were removed by her father from the flashlights and "stored together at Alan Bean's home", and that they were given to her by Alan Bean prior to his death.
