Gemini 11 Flown Embroidered Mission Insignia Patch on
Presentation Certificate Signed by Charles Conrad. A 3" x
4.375" shield-shaped partially-embroidered on blue cloth patch that
was flown on Gemini 11 with Pete Conrad and Dick Gordon, September
12-15, 1966. It is adhered to a 6.375" x 8.375" certificate that
states in part: "This Gemini XI cloth patch was one of the few
originals made in 1966. I was mission commander with fellow
astronaut Richard Gordon as pilot. This patch was carried on the
Gemini XI flight during September 12 to 15, 1966. It is from my
personal collection. Gemini XI proved to be an important step
toward a manned landing on the moon." Signed at close in blue ink:
"Charles Conrad Jr. Gemini XI CDR". An rarely offered
artifact and only the third that Heritage has offered. Very fine.
