Description

Ex. Charlie Duke

Apollo 16 "Technical Air-To-Ground Voice Transcription" Dated April 1972, Directly from the Personal Collection of Charlie Duke. A three-hole punched 2053 page document measuring 8.5" x 11" x 5" which is an early printing of the entire mission voice transcript, as prepared by the Apollo Spacecraft Program Office of the Manned Spacecraft Center. The introduction states in part: "This document is the transcription of the technical air-to-ground (TAG) voice communications of the Apollo 16 mission." The next several pages identify the abbreviations for the various voices heard in the transcript as well as acronyms used throughout. Duke has signed on the cover page: "From My/ Personal Collection/ Charles M. Duke Jr./ Apollo 16-LMP". A desirable printing detailing aspects of one of the longest durations of time man has ever spent on the moon. A rarely offered document, even more so coming from the collection of a member of the three-man crew and one of only twelve astronauts to ever walk on the lunar surface. Included with this lot is a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Charlie Duke. Age related wear and toning, overall fine.
