U.S. Model 1816 Flintlock Musket M.T. Wickham 1835 In untouched condition, all metal is smooth and dark with a few minor areas of surface roughness. Lock marked "U.S. / M.T. Wickham" and "Phila 1835", crisp tight action, appears to be in original flintlock configuration Barrel breech marked "U.S. / N.W.P." with "N.J." surcharge. Wood with deep dark patina shows tight cracks running from the lock to the first band, scattered dents and minor wood losses at the tail of the lock and at the barrel tang. There is a small diamond shaped plate with engraved number 4 behind the barrel tang. Complete with original ramrod. Property from the Estate of John R. Eckel, Sr.
