Description
12th Mississippi Infantry Regiment Archive. Includes eleven documents, such as a Mississippi 1861 war-tax receipt; 1863 orders from the "Office Chief of Subsistance"; several military receipts, some on printed stationery. Many are associated with the Claiborne County Volunteers. Also included are five sewing pins and one ceramic button from the wreck of the CSS Georgiana, which sank off the Atlantic Coast in 1863.
