Richard Nixon Signed Copy of The Real War. New York: Warner Books, 1980. First edition, first printing. Octavo, 341 pages including selected source notes, author's note, and an index. The former President signs "Richard Nixon" on the half-title page in blue fine-point felt tip. Red cloth covered boards with silver and black lettering at the spine. Original dust jacket. Authored by Nixon five years after his resignation, he writes that World War III between the U.S. and the Soviet Union has begun: "We are at war."Condition: Pencil notation "signed 100" to front free endpaper. Light foxing to the page edges. Light shelf wear to the boards. Faint creasing to top edge of jacket, and minor toning and soiling to the jacket edges.
