John Quincy Adams Free Franked Cover Addressed in His Hand. Sheet measures 6.5" x 8" and folds down to a cover, 4.75" x 3.5". With a stamp cancellation from Washington possibly dated October 13, no year. The cover is addressed to B. A. Gould, Esqr. in Boston.Condition: Age toning, with a spot of darker toning at top center. Paper loss at top of sheet, where the wax seal has been torn open. A few stray pencil annotations on verso of cover. Light soiling to verso.
