Description
Sigmund Freud Autograph Letter Signed "freud." One page, 5.5" x 3.5", "Villa Wassing", Bad Gastein, Austria; July 13, 1922. Addressed to Dr. Thaddeus H. Ames in New York, regarding scheduling the doctor for an analysis appointment. It reads in full: "It is all right now. I will take you if I get a free hour. If not, Dr. Rank will be ready for you."Thaddeus Hoyt Ames (1885-1963) was elected president of The New York Psychoanalytic Society in 1921. Otto Rank (1884-1939) was an Austrian psychoanalyst and one of Freud's most trusted colleagues.
Condition: Toned throughout, with ink smudging and dampstaining. Indentation and staining at the corner from a removed paper clip. Bent and torn upper right corner. Boldly signed by Freud.
