Description

Antonín Dvorák Autograph Letter Signed "Ant. Dvorák". Three pages of a bifolium, 4.25" x 7", Wysoka [Vysoka], circa 1884, untranslated. Dvorák was a Czech composer, the second in history to achieve worldwide recognition. It is possible he is writing to Alfred Littleton (1845-1914), a publisher who helped launch Dvorák's career in England. He had been asked to perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 1883, and due to his popularity, was invited back the following year.
