Description

Union General Charles Harker Document Signed and Carte de Visite. Harker, who was killed at Kennesaw Mountain, Georgia, in 1864, signs this one-page document (8" x 4") "C. G. Harker." The young officer is featured in the oval CDV image in uniform. On the reverse appears the printed imprint of the photographer, A. S. Morse, "Photographer, Dept. of the Cumberland . . . Nashville, TENN." The four corners of the CDV have been clipped. Remnants of the tax stamp appear on the reverse.
