Description
Theodore Roosevelt: Classic Zig Zag Clicker. This 1¼" celluloid clicker depicts "Two Winners", namely Theodore Roosevelt and Zig Zag Confections. Unlike the cigarette papers, this Zig Zag was a candy similar to Cracker Jacks and a brief competitor to same. Based on the slogan and design (used extensively in presidential elections from 1904 to 1912), we feel no doubt this was issued in 1904, during TR's run for the presidency. It is one of the more clever campaign novelties issued for perhaps the most popular of presidents. It is a perennial favorite among collectors and in great condition!Auction Info
