Carveth Wells. Archive of Letters and Manuscripts. [Various places, various dates]. Includes signed letters by five other explorers. Archive includes:Sixteen pages of carbon typescript of "Jungle" by Wells.
Fourteen pages of carbon typescript of "Gunong Tahan/The Forbidden Mountain." Signed by Wells.
Thirty letters (mainly Autograph Letters Signed) by Wells to either James Pond (a business partner who facilitated his lectures) or "Miss Smith," who worked for Pond's lecture bureau.
Six programs related to Wells' lectures.
Note signed by Donald B. MacMillan, English explorer who went to the North Pole with Perry.
Autograph Letter Signed by Ralph B. Robinson, English explorer and first mate under Donald B. MacMillan on the Bowdoin Baffin Land Expedition.
Signed photo by Sir George Hubert Wilkins, Australian Polar explorer and aviator.

Carveth Wells (1887-1957) was an English explorer, writer, lecturer, and television personality. He would explore all over the world, including Malaya, Soviet Russia (where he observed the famine of 1932-1933), and he would mount an expedition to find Noah's Ark on Mount Ararat. In 1946, Wells and his wife produced one of the first television shows, Geographically Speaking, featuring home movies of their travels. The show ended when they ran out of their home movies.
