Dylan Thomas. The Selected Writings. [New York:] New Directions, [1946].8vo. Original rose cloth, spine blocked in gilt on a black panel; publisher's dust jacket.
FIRST EDITION. SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR on the front free endpaper, "dylan Thomas." Second issue, with publisher's address of "333 Sixth Avenue" on copyright page instead of "500 Fifth Avenue," as New Directions moved to 333 Sixth Avenue after 1946 until 1953. In the presumed second state of the dust jacket with the same Sixth Avenue address on rear panel.
Condition: Unclipped dust jacket ("$3.50"), with two small chips at upper and lower edges of front panel; slight wear to ends of spine panel; minor soiling on rear panel. Internally very fine.
