J. D. Salinger. The Catcher in the Rye. Boston: Little, Brown, 1951. First edition. Octavo. [2, blank], [iv], 277, [3, blank] pages. Publisher's black cloth with gilt titles at spine, in original second-state dust jacket. Light wear to corners and spine ends; touches of rubbing to boards. Toning and very faint dampstains to endpapers. Jacket moderately toned; edgewear along top edge, including a handful of closed tears and resulting creases with tape applied at rear fold; creasing along folds and spine. Very good.Auction Info
