Description
[Pochoir Plates]. La Guirlande, Album d'Art et de Littérature. Sous la direction littéaire de Monsieur Jean Hermanovits. Sous la direction artistique de Monsieur Brunelleschi. Paris, [1919-1921]. Collection of pochoir prints, including 27 full-page plates, most printed on heavy paper stock, and many pochoir vignettes in-text. Includes title pages for four fascicules, No. 7 (Special Christmas issue), No. 8, No. 10, and No. 11. Each fascicule limited to 800, each of the present fascicules separately numbered. Prints separated from text, not collated. Housed in a publisher's small portfolio of pochoir printed boards backed in cloth, linen tie. Fascicules loose in portfolio.Artists include: Brunelleschi, George Barbier, Bonnotte, Robert Polack, E. Blanche, and others.
Sold as a collection of prints, not subject to return.
Condition: Portfolio moderately thumbsoiled and stained, hinges cracked but holding. Bookplate to front pastedown of portfolio. Minor toning to prints, slight offsetting to text. Very good.
