With twenty-six roundels of Homeric figures derived from figures on Greek vases printed in black on gold leaf at the beginning of each book and on the title-page. Newly translated by T.E. Lawrence. Commissioned and designed by Bruce Rogers. Original full black Niger morocco. Gilt-lettered spine with raided bands. Top edge gilt, others uncut. Very minor rubbing to binding, occasional offsetting from roundels. A bright, fine copy. From the collection of John Carrol Collins.
