Aaron Siskind. Photogravures. [New York:] The Limited Editions Club, [1990]. LEC edition, limited to thirty numbered copies with six signed photogravures, of which this is number nine. Large folio. Approximately 22 x 19 inches. Two letterpress leaves and six photogravures from hand-rubbed plates on Richard de Bas paper. Loose, as issued. "Plates made by Paul Taylor from the original negatives, under the direction of Aaron Siskind" (from the colophon leaf). Housed in publisher's light brown cloth clamshell case with gray morocco lettering label stamped in black. Fine. Photographs appeared in the Limited Editions Club edition of Walt Whitman's Songs of the Open Road (1990).Auction Info
