FIRST EDITION. PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR on the title page: "To John G. Wilson / with best wishes and many / thanks for all the words of wise counsel. / Alistair MacLean / Feb. 7th, 1957."
A rare presentation copy, inscribed shortly after publication.
Condition: Spine unevenly sunned or soiled; a few stray marks. Dust jacket unclipped (priced "14s. net"), a few scuffs and stains to rear panel; minor edgewear with a few short tears.
