An unusually bright copy of the true first edition of Huck Finn

Mark Twain. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (Tom Sawyer's Comrade). London: Chatto & Windus, 1884.

8vo. Publisher's red cloth stamped in gilt and black. Printed pictorial endpapers. Illustrated with engraved frontispiece and in-text illustrations. Gatherings saddle-stitched with wire staples (BAL state B, no priority), 32-page catalogue of ads at rear dated "October, 1884," and partially uncut.

TRUE FIRST EDITION, just preceding the American edition.

Condition: Spine mildly sunned, minor staining, corners bumped, slight edgewear. Hinges starting, textblock over-opened. A few pencil notations throughout, scattered soiling.
