Logan Pearsall Smith (1865-1946) was an American-born English writer and critic. Although he had an excellent reputation as a brilliant essayist, his connection to Virginia Woolf is an excellent one: his niece, Karin Stephen (a well-known psychologist) was married to Adrian Stephen, Virginia Woolf's brother. She and her husband were members of "Old Bloomsbury," as designated by Woolf's husband, Leonard.
