Ernest Hemingway. The Old Man and the Sea. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1952. First edition, in the first state dust jacket with image on rear panel tinted in blue. Octavo. 140 pages. Publisher's light blue cloth with blindstamped front cover titles and silver spine titles. Jacket spine toned, with a creased tear in the middle of the spine, some rubbing, a few short tears to jacket edges, cloth spine toned, some rubbing and mild soiling to binding, some foxing to endleaves, previous owner's signature on front free endpaper. Still, a near fine copy.
